Hi!
I am Kaitlyn, I was born and raised in Madison, WI. Moved to Lodi in 2021. My career before purchasing LaGrotta was social work. I have always had a passion for working with people. During the pandemic my caseload kept getting more and more complex and the resources were becoming less and less. For my own mental health, I had to pivot and find something else. I have always dreamt of being my own boss and starting a small business. The stars aligned when the previous owners of LaGrotta were willing to sell! The rest is history! I have loved meeting so many people and being a part of this community.
I'm Joe and although I am originally from Indiana, I have called Wisconsin home for 15 years now. I moved to Lodi in 2017 and fell in love with the Lake Wisconsin area. In 2019 I found another love and by 2021 Kaitlyn had decided to make the move to Lodi as well. After surviving the pandemic we decided to set out on a new adventure as business owners and purchased LaGrotta. While I still maintain my day job you can often find me fulfilling my role as garbage and maintenance man, as well as emergency bartender.
Hi, I’m Elissa! Since the beginning of the pandemic I’ve worked from home. I felt the need for a change—something more social and connected. That’s what brought me to Lodi, where I now work at LaGrotta Wine Bar alongside my sister, Kaitlyn. I was drawn here not just by the opportunity, but by the sense of community this town offers. I enjoy being part of a place where people come together and using my creativity in the cocktails we create or through the events we plan.
Our Story
This cozy wine bar, under new ownership since 2022, has quickly become a local favorite. With a great selection of wines, craft beers, and cocktails, it’s the perfect spot to unwind. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with modern decor and comfy seating that makes you feel right at home. The staff is friendly and always ready to suggest something new, whether you're a wine lover or just looking for a refreshing drink. It's a relaxed spot where everyone can gather, chat, and enjoy the good vibes.
